Hydroponics are expanding

Our new hydroponics area is up and running!  We have added a new area outside of the greenhouses for our zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, and other plants.  This new system is drip irrigated and highly experimental.  We are anxoiusly awaiting the results as this revolutionary design makes farming possible anywhere with minimal purchased inputs and a lot of locally sourced materials.

Inside the greenhouse the plants are going strong.  There was a groundhog attack the other night that wiped out some lettuce and chard but otherwise things look good.  Odds are good that we will have some tasty lettuces and herbs the day the Palmyra Producer-onlu Farmers Market opens for 2012.
